Here are some simple tips that can make it easy for you to make a difference in our world, every day.
TUNE IN, TURN OFF – You’ve got the power to save power – even when you’re on vacation! Electronic devices and power strips draw energy even when they’re in standby mode. So whether you’re going to the grocery store or the beach, be sure to shut ‘em down.
IT’S IN THE BAG – Have you heard? Environmentally friendly reusable shopping bags are the new plastic and paper.
SEE THE LIGHT – You can save 75% of the energy standard light bulbs use by switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs).
PUT IT IN PARK – If it’s a nice day, walk. Other times, take public transportation. Or get your bike out of our bike storage room and roll.
THE HEAT IS ON – Don’t waste it! Once your dryer’s hot, don’t wait for it to cool down before you put in your next load.
PASS IT ALONG – Tell your friends and family. Share with your neighbors and coworkers. They’re probably as anxious to do their part as you are, so be sure to bring these green tips – along with any others you might know of – to their attention soon.
